Description of Angry IP Scanner

Ah, the good old days of the Ping function for verifying IP addresses. Oh, wait...the Ping included with Windows still runs from a DOS window. Angry IP Scanner lets you ping from a more modern-looking Windows interface. This fast, small IP scanner can scan IPs in any range. Angry IP Scanner can not only verify an IP address, but scan ports and check to resolve the hostname. The vendor offers a number of plugins for this open-source software at their site.
