Editorial Review of RegSeeker

RegSeeker is free and besides being a Registry cleaner, has a handful of other Registry-focused utilities. They include a keyword finder, a way to examine installed application Registry entries, assorted histories (for instance, Internet Explorer and Start menu items), and Startup entries, as well as a way to tweak about 24 XP settings. The Registry cleaner is confusing because it has an "OK!" button and a dangerous option: "Auto Clean," something I encourage you to avoid. There's little help, though RegSeeker warns that to backup the Registry, make sure to check mark "backup for deletion." There's no automatic restore feature; you'll need to find the saved .REG file and click on it.

On my production PC, RegSeeker picked up 1108 problems. Unfortunately, the program offered no help determining which of the errors needing deleting; it also didn't provide categories, such as invalid path or shared DLL, in order to help me decide if it was safe to delete. RegSeeker isn't for novices.

Strengths: It's free, It's thorough, Seems safe enough

Weaknesses: It doesn't always tell a novice what's happening.

Overall Evaluation: I like this utility. I keep it on a thumb drive, and use it on many different machines to clean out the registry. Honestly, I use the autoclean feature a lot, and haven't encountered any problems yet. I always end up with a much snappier and happier machine after using it. I think DragonWolfe must be referring to other trialware such as RegClean. This is genuine freeware, and it does everything I need it to do.

Strengths: Defrauding the public

Weaknesses: Being listed under "FREE", when at best, and thats really saying something, it a DEMO, that does NOTHING but scaring a novice into thinking their ENTIRE computer univers is going to explode.

Overall Evaluation: Like some many OTHER PCW garbage downloads disguisewd as "Freeware", its just another way of poissing people off!!!!

Strengths: Has a good registry cleaner and it has an automatic cleaner so if your not an expert on cleaning your registry this is a handy tool and the program backups all is cleaning just in case it cleans something it shouldnât. but I havenât seen it cleaning wrong things at all. it also help with your start-up software that starts up with windows like your antivirus and antispyware this program will show u every thing it has running on at the time. low memory usage of just under 6,000k so very low. overall a brilliant program 2 keep your system safe and clean and make your pc in top shape

Weaknesses: The only weakness this program has is the changing of windows desktop icons it wont delete anything and everything is safe it just moves all icons to the left hand side of your desktop. If your icons are there all ready then u wont have a problem .But if youâve customised your icons all over the screen regseeker will push them all 2 the left just for backup reasons it keeps a backup of your icons and keeps the icons were he remembers them 2 keep your pc back upped and safe .

Overall Evaluation: I give this product out of (10) I would give it (9) it is a safe and brilliant software and has a brilliant registry cleaning tools and is very safe for a beginner or an expert 2 use. The best part is that the program is free for home use for a freebie itâs the best u will find and the quality of the software is up with the best registry cleaning software that costs money like (registry mechanic) so download regseeker and enjoy ......Publisher dr zendo
