Ad-Aware SE Professional offers real-time protection, much as antivirus software does in blocking virus threats.
Many of us are familiar with the free version of Ad-Aware, which removes unwanted adware and spyware after they land on your PC. For $39.95, the professional version offers "Ad-Watch," which gives you real-time protection for malware/parasites that try to install on or modify your system. This feature runs silently in the background.
Ad-Aware SE Professional also comes with "Process-Watch," which lets you analyze all the processes and associated modules running your machine.
This latest version has new command line parameters that allow for silent and automated operation of Ad-Aware. It also has a new results screen, improved logging and reporting, and a new safety option that allows you to write protect sensitive system files.
