Description of MagicISO Maker

Create disk images and burn them onto a CD or DVD. True to its name, MagicISO can make ISO files; it then lets you edit, extract, and burn them. The program can handle DVD images up to 10GB. It can create bootable CD and DVD images. It can convert ISO files to BIN format and back. Finally, it lets you edit properties of the CD and DVD that you create.

  Strengths: A commodity utility

  Weaknesses: repeated emails to support are unanswered. Unethical folk behind this product.

  Overall Evaluation: Recommending UltraISO instead.

  Strengths: Rich in features and user friendly interface. Ability to directly edit files within the image files. Ability to convert between ISO, BIN and Nero image file formats. I could not verify other file formats perhaps because I was using trial version. Ability to create bootable cd's.

  Weaknesses: Lacks creation of image file directly from context menu. context menu takes user to main application window.

  Overall Evaluation: Overall I like this software as it helped me archive a lot of my old files in a compressed image file which would have otherwise taken up a lot of space by themselves. I know there are some freeware softwares but I did not like them because they have very limited features which dont compare to MagicISO features.
