Description of FreeUndelete

Ever hit "delete" and wished you could undo it? FreeUndelete helps you rescue data that would otherwise be lost. It works on any NTFS file system, the default file system used by Windows NT, 2000, and XP. FreeUndelete lives up to both halves of its name, undeleting your files and doing it for free: free of charge, free of adware, free of spyware.

Note: Before using this program, please read the Proper Usage Techniques at the vendor's Web site. It will help you avoid further damage to lost data.

  Weaknesses: Didn't find all files, wouldn't recover those it did find. FWIW, I'm using Vista

  Overall Evaluation: The program works, fast, free, and is flexible, giving user choices where to save the undeleted files to. Passed it along to friends. Just used it and it saved me a lot of work that was not backed up from the day before. mike whitney
