Strengths: It is a complete protection: Antivirus, Antispyware, Firewall.
Weaknesses: Difficulty on updating. They divide the update into 2 different section: Antivirus and Antispyware, which is wasting your time to update it, especially for an internet modem user. Also, when you are not up to date (maybe this cause it, I'm not relly sure about it) ZoneAlarm would scanned out some malicious program (Virus, Trojan, Spyware, Backdoor, etc.;I saw it myself, it is listed out during fullscanning my PC on the scanning bar) and NOT repairing it. Perhaps it assummes those malicious program as a valid system.
Overall Evaluation: Work well, actually. Recommended for most and advance user.'

Strengths: Has outbound protection in addition to excellent stealth inbound protection. Passed Shield's Up testing at grc.com. Blocks headers, ads, malicious programs, and can be fully configured for your own personal use, not just the default settings. Uses Kaspersky antivirus as a part of the Security Suite. Has a system guard and an email checker. Scans for malware in addition to viruses. Heuristic scans.
Weaknesses: Not for a novice user. When a warning pops up, the user has a choice to allow or block, and the novice may block not knowing what they are blocking, then wonder why a program or hardware isn't working.
Overall Evaluation: I love this Firewall Security Suite and recommend to everyone, including novices. I teach them how to use it, and what to look for in the pop ups, since I am an advanced user. The free version is just the firewall, and not the entire security suite. It is better to pay for a license and get the guard, as the saying goes; "You get what you pay for".

Strengths: none
Weaknesses: blocks things its not supposed to like operation of cordless mice and key boards. far to difficult to set up for advanced computer user, hate to think of the nightmare it would cause for a novice.
Overall Evaluation: very bad program for a free bee. if the only way to get it to work right is to up grade to the paid subscription, then why offer the free bee at all!
