Description of Placer
PLACER is a versatile utility to visualize and process graphics. It opens JPEG,TIFF,GIF,BMP and imports EMF or DXF files. The output is YML text file of vertices/labels, a database storage or EMF/BMP file. Vector labels are searchable. File Open dialog is also the tool to connect to SQL server and fetch data by table name. Graphics could be stored into SQL table by SaveTable button. Multiple images are positioned on a canvas by border pulling or by setting the fields. A bitmap selected could be vectorized as following: After manual Flood Filling, Adjust Smooth, Thresholding and Morphology op, contours are made by Edge and Vector postproc.
