Description of PC-cillin Internet Security
No longer just a virus scanner, this latest version of PC-cillin also protects you from hackers, privacy threats, and spam. The firewall allows you to adjust security control levels for home, work, and on the road. It proactively warns you about virus outbreaks and scans for them at the network firewall level, where they attempt to penetrate your PC. As with previous versions, you can submit questionable files to Trend Micro's EDoctor Lab, where they are analyzed for viruses. You will be contacted within 48 hours about the status of the submitted file. Wizards walk you through the process of detecting and eradicating computer viruses from your computer, and filtering harmful scripts, Java, and ActiveX programs. Files that cannot be cleaned of viruses are quarantined. In addition, you can use PC-cillin to protect your children from offensive and inappropriate Web sites by controlling which sites they visit.
