Editorial Review of Webcam Screen Saver

This unique screen saver flips through Webcam images served up live. The default list includes New York's Times Square, a U.S. weather map, Las Vegas's MGM Grand, and many more--but you can edit the list as you please. You can opt to include a scrolling marquee that provides the Webcam name, date, and time, or even play MP3s along with the images. The vendor, E-Motional.com, supplies tips on finding Webcam URLs.

The vendor says that the screen saver can be used to send company-wide text bulletins to employees; just place a text file on the company network and add it to the Webcam list. I didn't test this feature, but it looks straightforward.

The program was easy to install; just download and click the executable file. You can launch it either via an icon in the Start menu or by opening the Display Properties dialog box.
