Editor's Review of 3DNA Desktop
Turn your PC into an immersive, three-dimensional world with this program, which replaces your normal desktop with a new 3D world that makes navigating your PC, organizing files and folders, and launching programs more fun. When you install the program, you're in a kind of virtual, 3D loft, and you walk around it to interact with your PC. Want to play or create media? Walk over to a media center, and then click a microphone to launch a sound recorder, or a stereo to launch your media player. Want to browse the Web? Head over to the browser area, and you can launch your browser. Better yet, you can see multiple Web sites running simultaneously on the browser wall.
There are similar areas for launching applications. You can even walk upstairs onto the deck to play a game of hoops, look at the daytime sky, and watch birds flying above. There are also plenty of other 3D worlds apart from the loft you can download.
Note: by default, 3DNA Desktop installs a browser add-in that some people consider adware. The add-in isn?t required for running the program, so if you don?t want it installed on your PC, you can tell 3DNA Desktop not to install it during the installation process. During installation, when the ?Choose Install Location? screen appears, make sure to uncheck the box next to ?Install the 3DNA MY Search Bar,? and then continue the installation. 3DNA Desktop will still install without problems. This application only works on Windows XP, NOT Vista
