Description of George Orwell's 1984 Theme

The 1984 theme fills your desktop with images inspired by the George Orwell novel of the same name. Across the bottom of the screen are the propaganda slogans "War is Peace," "Freedom is Slavery," and "Ignorance is Strength." Stark imagery of cog-wheels, clocks, a drab metropolis and video screens give the feeling of a reality gone wrong. Glowing video screens, futuristic icons, and metallic sounds add to the effect.
