Description of LAN Survey
LAN Survey is a Client/Server inventory tool that monitors and tracks computers, printers, software, ODBC, RAS, IP numbers and network logons. LAN Survey also contains a folder contents tracker and a file version monitor. LAN Survey compares the current configuration with the previous one and logs detected modications in the database. Record helpdesk calls and system maintenance in the integrated logbook. Add additionally key information like suppliers, other equipment, locations and warranty to document your computer environment. Single point of installation, no additional client setup required. You can examine the database from all computers : there is no need for dedicated managements consoles. Use the included Intranet module for Microsoft Internet Information Server to access the database with the Internet Explorer or Netscape. Link your own or third party programs using the included ODBC driver and the command line interface. Remote scanning is supported on Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and XP computers without the need to install agent software. Besides current configurations, modifications are recorded in the database too. Run the commandline scanner during a clients logon for automatic updates.
