    Duration of ownership: 6 Years

Strengths: Fast massive image conversions, touch up images easily, type labels on images such as screen captures.

    Weaknesses: none.

Overall Evaluation: Using Irfanview for 6 years. This is the fastest photo/image viewer you can get, period. Just tap the space bar to look thru your collection, press F to fill the screen, L to rotate left, then save in any conceivable format. It can convert and rename in sequence 500 jpegs into png or gif in about 5 seconds. Next to Photoshop, Irfanview is the most valuable software on my PC.

Overall Evaluation: Its the same type of image viewer you computer should come with, with a couple editing features, but not what i was looking for.

    Strengths: Fast, Free

    Weaknesses: Not known

Overall Evaluation: I have used Irfan View as my default image viewer for many years. I have tried others but have stuck with this. If you want to look at a picture, Irfan view pops up immediately. I also use it for a quick resize or saving a photo as another type. I make icons with it. I have other software for doing more extensive operations, but this is the best viewer by far.

Strengths: It's free and can do a lot of smaller editing tasks.

Weaknesses: It's not that intuitive, at least for me. User interface is just so so.

Overall Evaluation: As a free software, it's very good and highly recommended.
