The program can also be used as a screen saver. The developer says that 3D World Map includes an MP3 player that loads automatically and plays music from around the world, but I was not able to find this feature in the free version that I tested.
This free version does not expire, but "trial version" appears in a box on screen. Registering the software for $30 gives you a higher-definition globe with the ability to zoom in for greater detail.
