Editorial Review of AZZ Cardfile

AZZ Cardfile was developed by Lithuanian Antanas Zdramys to be a more flexible alternative to Microsoft Cardfile, a program that withered on the Windows vine more than a decade ago.

It functions like a stack of index cards or an old-fashioned Rolodex, except you can find what you need much faster, and you'll never run out of cards. Actually, you'll never run out of space on a card, either. You could write a book on one of these cards (as long as you don't mind being confined to rich-text formatting options). But you're more likely to use AZZ Cardfile as a personal mini-database, to store phone numbers and addresses, recipes, trivia and notes--even photos and other objects.

Version 3.2 adds a simple diary cardfile that you can duplicate and use for one or more diaries (for example, you could keep a food journal in one and track projects in another). If you can't decide what to put in your cardfile, you can go to the web site and browse or download sample cardfile collections compiled by loyal AZZ Cardfile users.

AZZ cardfile collections can be password-protected, and your data is backed up automatically unless you disable the feature. Spend some time using the program (the trial period does not expire) and you may very well decide to register it.
