Editorial Review of TreePad Lite

If you've got a wiki's worth of info to manage, the TreePad product line is loaded with geek appeal. This is freebies uses an Explorer-style tree directory structure to harness your data into one or more personal databases.

Saving information, such as quick notes and e-mail, in Treepad "articles" instead of individual Word documents, saves space, and TreePad can handle tens of thousands of articles. When it's time to organize, drag and drop whole sub-directories. The file itself is small and quick, and even with your database included, can be run from a portable drive or a floppy, assuming you've still got 'em. Start in Basic mode and work your way up to Advanced, to incorporate tables, forms, and other goodies.
