Description of TClockEx

This author of this program wrote it out of frustration at the taskbar clock for not showing the date. His nifty little freeware program, TClockEx, changes that, and adds more features to it, as well. It lets you change the font size and color of your clock; you can display available memory and system resources; you can even use the program to copy the date to your Clipboard. This update, which includes bug fixes, will give you a warning if the Windows Resource Meter applet is not available.

  Duration of ownership: 7 Years

  Strengths: Popup Calendar, fully configurable and system information, and of course, date & time on tray.

  Weaknesses: None other than that the author has not supported it or updated it (unknown reason)for Vista, and now W7. Author asked for a full copy of XP to update back in 2002 and he never responded.

  Overall Evaluation: Excellent program and I am very surprised that it's still around. It works flawlessly in all version of XP.

  Duration of ownership: 4 Years

  Strengths: Such a small little program that does everything you need it to do! Customization, colors, fonts, configuration.

  Weaknesses: Not available in Vista (bummer).

  Overall Evaluation: This is by far the BEST little program I have ever downloaded, unfortunately, I now have Windows Vista which is not supported. Don't know how I'll manage without it now, it was SO useful!

  Strengths: Does everything you need on time and date in a taskbar

  Weaknesses: A little bit difficult to set the 12 hour dates, at first

  Strengths: BG & TXT custom colors,display.

  Weaknesses: Really none.

  Overall Evaluation: I installed MS ZUNE Theme soon as it came out. Was able to match clock perfectly. LOVE IT!!

  Overall Evaluation: After reviewing TClockEx I realized that I am running TClock Light available at this site.http://homepage1.nifty.com/kazubon/. This version does allow dual color customization to create button type looks, but does not have the calendar feature. Instead it offers an alarm clock, cuckoo clock feature and essentially the same other customizations.
