Duration of ownership: 5 Years
Strengths: Shows (sizable) enlarged view of select character. Shows character code in decimal, hex, octal, and binary. Single executable requires no Windows installation - just put in the folder of your choice and make shortcut(s) to it wherever you like. Although it dates from 1998, I use it daily under WindowsXP with no problems.
Weaknesses: Does not do double-byte character values (Unicode or others) - shows single-byte Windows characters only: 32 (0x20) through 255 (0xFF).
Overall Evaluation: Very useful
