In my tests Download Manager worked inconsistently--it intercepted some downloads, but not others. To use the tool most effectively, you'll need to enter download links in the queue manually.
The Crawler toolbar contains several other applets in addition to Download Manager (Web search, Yellow Pages, FormFill, Games, eCards, and more). It's not possible to install the Download Manager on its own, and the software license makes it clear that the Crawler toolbar tracks your online movements. So be aware that even though this is a free tool, and even though it doesn't install spyware as such, you do pay in terms of losing a bit of privacy.
