Editorial Review of Crawler Weather
Crawler Weather provides current weather conditions for cities that you specify. Temperatures, severe weather, precipitation, aviation weather, and marine forecasts are available for the continental U.S. A Health & Outdoors feature gives you UV index data for the continental U.S., plus links to Web sites offering air quality, pollen, and snow information. Other features link to Web sites that provide travel booking and traffic information. Note, however, that most information provided is limited to the U.S. only.
A few gripes: Searching for weather data is a bit clunky (you enter either the zip code or just the city name, then search a list); only the Radar & Maps section provides information on all 50 states in the U.S.; and the small window size makes scanning maps a bit frustrating. Still, the program does provide access to a wide range of weather information in one spot--and it's free.
