Description of Pocket DVD Wizard 2006

Backup commercial DVDs onto video iPods and other handheld devices. In our informal tests of converting TiVo-burned DVD movies for a video iPod, we found the program easy to use and efficient, and it created good-quality video. (Videos formatted for the video iPod are closer to VHS tape in quality than they are to DVD.)

Plus, Pocket DVD Wizard lets you transfer DVD video files into formats compatible with Sony?s PlayStation Portable, Palm OS handhelds, Pocket PCs, and some portable media players.

Note: Programs that allow you to copy commercial DVDs onto video iPods and other handheld devices can violate copyright laws. According to the developer: "The Pocket DVD Wizard is a tool designed to allow you to backup personal DVD recordings for personal use (for example home movies or un-encrypted television shows recorded with a DVD recorder) and transfer these to a Pocket PC or Portable Media Center handheld device to watch later.

This software was not designed, or produced to circumvent technology that effectively protects access to, or restricts the duplication of copyrighted material.
