Editorial Review of RoboForm

This useful little tool (free for private individuals and nonprofits) securely stores passwords, log-in information, and personal and business information so that you can quickly and easily navigate the Web. Once you've entered your data, RoboForm lets you log in to secure Web sites and fill out forms with one click.

Other functions include Safenotes (a password-protected database that securely stores snippets of information), a password generator, and a search function that lets you search RoboForm's data as well as the Web.

The program is very simple to use and provides a short tutorial that quickly gets you going. The latest version works with all versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, plus (with an add-in that you can select during installation) Mozilla Firefox. One terrific feature: You can work in both browsers simultaneously, saving log-ins as you go. The new log-in information is available to both browsers immediately.
