Description of MP3 Star Search
In the good old days, we'd travel from search engine to search engine, hoping to find that elusive favorite song--yet only find dead servers. MP3 Star Search makes life easier by packing a bunch of search engines, and checking to make sure that they're still serving files. Once you find an active server, right-click the song, choose Connect/Download, and the FTP Client that you've set up will automatically launch and try to connect. The vendor suggests that this may be a bit harder to use for those unfamiliar with working with FTP clients.
