Description of IceSword

Ed. Note: Users have reported to us that they are having a variety of problems with this product. For that reason we are no longer hosting this file, but you can get it from this anti-rootkit site. The creators of the Hacker Defender rootkit, one of the most widely used tools among the bad guys out there, made it their goal to defeat IceSword. So far, they've failed.

IceSword is developed by a Chinese programmer who doesn't speak a word of English, but this download is the international version with English dialog boxes and controls.

Note: IceSword comes compressed in the RAR format, so you may also need to download the WinRAR utility before you can use it.

  Overall Evaluation: This program could not be installed due to the "rar" file type. Attempt to get proper proper software to handle this file type required purchasing programs, which makes no sense for a freewhare download.

  Weaknesses: No instructions. I highly recommend that you do not download this software until it has English instructions.

  Overall Evaluation: Ice Sword is not for the novice user. If you don't have a degree in computer programming don't download this product. I could not understand how to use it because the instructions are in Chinese. It doesn't help to have English tools if you don't know how to use the tools or understand their purpose.
