Editorial Review of My Home Inventory
It's a good philosophy to live by: Hope for the best, but be
prepared for the worst!
My Home Inventory Software from Elms Publishing makes it that much easier to prepare for hardship. If tragedy strikes and your home is destroyed or robbed, trying to remember all the valuable items in your house is an impossibly daunting task. This program allows you to create an inventory list of all your belongings.
The software is user friendly and the interface is fairly straight forward to navigate. The user adds items to their list by clicking the new record button. From there you can enter details such as a picture, the price of the item, serial numbers, model numbers, location of the item, condition of the item and much more. To add multiple items at once, there's a batch import function that allows you to add many photos at once. The software then automatically creates a new record for each picture. From there you can enter the details for every item. To ensure the integrity of your data, you can backup your list to a CD or the software allows you run many types of reports for your own records or in case you need to submit information to your insurance company.
The demo version is available at no charge; the full version of the software costs a one-time fee of $25. The demo has the exact same interface and options as the full version, but in the demo you can not save your list of items that you have created. To save your items, you must buy the full version.
