Duration of ownership: 1 Days
Strengths: Untested since the turd doesn't install on Vista
Weaknesses: Complete lack of support for Windows Vista
Overall Evaluation: The install was slow at best ( 20 min) on a 3.4 ghz core duo with 2 GB ram and no other processes running. I find it amazing that the it world as a whole had nearly 2 years before the release of Vista and yet the vast majority of software manufacturers (commercial and open source) made little to no headway on preparing for it.Bottom line this program is a flamining pile of monkey crap! Get with the program people none of us like Microsquish but most companies are locked into it for an OS

Strengths: Nothing.
Weaknesses: Installation. Use.
Overall Evaluation: This software is total garbage. I began the install on Windows Vista. About 30 minutes later, the install "completed." I then attmpted to run the software. At that point it started accessing the network even though I had not configured anything. I allowed it to access the network with Kaspersky Internet Security 6 in interactive mode. Subsequently, Evolution crashed and burned. Hard. There was some error message about Bonobo activiation. This is GNU software. Why would I have to activate a license? Then I tried to uninstall Novell Evolution. At this point Novell Evolution has taken about 45 minutes to uninstall on my fast, modern machine. I do not recommend Novell Evolution for anyone on Windows, unless they do a total overhaul on this garbage code base.
