Editor's Review of Vista Shortcut Overlay Remover
Who says that every download has to be an earth-shaking application that changes the way you compute?
We sure don't. Sometimes, in fact, the best downloads are simple, one-trick ponies that accomplish just one task, but do it particularly well. That's why we love the free Vista Shortcut Overlay Remover
It does just one thing: It lets you shrink or remove the annoying arrows that appear on shortcuts on your Windows Vista Desktop. In Windows Vista, the arrows are particularly annoying, because the Desktop icons are so large -- and so are the arrows.
Using the program is simplicity itself. Run it, select whether you want a small, light arrow or no arrow at all on shortcuts, and click Apply. Then log off and log back on again. Voila --- you've just removed or lightened all your shortcut arrows. Run the program again and select the normal-sized arrow if you want the default shortcut arrows back.
