    Duration of ownership: 1 Weeks

Strengths: 10.0 is terrible but SP1,just released, cleans up a lot of the problems. It does a great job of backing up your entire drive to external media.

Weaknesses: I was a user of version 7 for years. I had no conflicts. After upgrading to 10, my computer had conflict problems with Nero. I was told that I had to uninstall this burning utility and get another-no fix. Users should be told up front that it will not run with Nero. I had several problems with 10.0 but most were eliminated with 10.1 I still have a problem with rebooting, but I can make it work. I had the same problems with domain name etc as GordonHazen, but support cleared it up.

Overall Evaluation: It is a good utility, but it could be great if they would only tell you up front about conflicting software;and try to get a fix for it. The interface is confusing but works fine after some help from tech support

Strengths: The interface would be good if it did not present confusing information at times.

Weaknesses: I simply could not get it to work. When problems occur the error messages are meaningless, with no way to figure out the problems.

Overall Evaluation: While I was very optimistic based upon write-ups, I found the software comepltely unusable. Could not get a single backup to work. I am an experienced PC user.

    Duration of ownership: 1 Days

    Strengths:

Weaknesses: Not user friendly, contrary to PC World review. Sets me up for online backup by asking me to create user name and password. Did so and then it says it is backing up my data although nothing seems to be happening. Refers me to an icon on the "system tray" which I can't find. So I start the backup wizard and tell it to backup to my external drive. But it asks me for a "domain name" a username and a password. Is this the same username and password I just entered for online backup? Who knows? And what is a domain name? Went to the help files for this screen, which just says the username and password are the same ones I use to log onto my computer, which user name I don't even know because I am a sole user and don't pay any attention to that when I start up. And anyway, no clue given as to what a domain name is. So I give up.

Overall Evaluation: Setup is more trouble than it's worth.
