Editorial Review of TopDesk
With the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft deployed a feature
called Flip3D, which attempts to simplify window management. Flip3D
lets users flip through three-dimensional renderings of the open
windows on the desktop, but it doesn't give you nearly the same
instantaneous visibility that Expos? does on the Mac. Fortunately,
there are a few downloads out there that can add Expos?-like
thumbnails to your Windows box. One little tool, called iEx
for Windows, does the trick for free; but the installation is a
little awkward. A more refined solution, TopDesk, installs
automatically in XP and Vista.
