Best CashBook is the cash-handling/entry portion of a Korean accounting package called Best Accounting, translated (most likely by a computer to judge from the quality) and offered up for free. It's a capable cashflow-tracking program. However, if you don't understand double-entry bookkeeping or at least the basics of cash management, you'd better take a pass--the documentation is not going to be much help.

On the other hand, I did manage to enter a few items (the entry process itself is somewhat educational) and navigating the program is fairly easy. The program is divided between the entire cashbook in monthly form, a daily ledger, and an accounts page plus ledgers for the entirety of each account you define. The GUI is utilitarian but information is displayed in a clear, concise manner that will give you a good idea of your financial condition and habits with regular use.

Microsoft Money or Quickbooks it ain't, but an effective inflow/outflow tracker and ledger Best CashBook is. If you're looking for a little help with getting a handle on your finances, take a look. It's also available to developers for inclusion in their own software.
