Strengths: It is very thorough.
Weaknesses: One has to pay very close attention to setup instructions.
Overall Evaluation: This is a very good program, amazingly thorough, but use it with a great deal of care. I did not and it deleted a .dll in my System32 file which crashed my entire hard drive requiring a complete reformatting, an expensive proposition not only in money but in time to rebuild. Use this program with a great deal of care.

Strengths: It's extremely easy to use and set up.
Weaknesses: None that I've detected.
Overall Evaluation: I've been using this program on a Toshiba laptop running Win. Vista, and a HP PC running Win XP. On it's first scan on the HP, it detected 680 MB of garbage, and on the laptop it removed 450 MB of useless files. I run scans on both machines several times a week, and typically remove 60 to 100 MB of useless files at a time. The average time for a scan is about two to three minutes.

Strengths: Very easy to use. Does a thorough job.
Weaknesses: Scan can be long.
Overall Evaluation: Although the scan was quite long (~ 4hrs), the application did a great job cleaning my system (I recovered ~ 1/3 of my hard drive). I highly recommend this download.

Strengths: Fast scan. Large selection of file-types to find. Delete choices to Recycle Bin or permanently.
Weaknesses: Can't handle a large number of files.
Overall Evaluation: I ran the program first on my XP Pro laptop then on my 2000 Pro main system. It worked great on the laptop, cleaning up about 40 MB of useless data. Then came the acid test. I have 1.2 TB of hard drive space and over a million and a half (at last scan) files. The scan was relatively fast, but when it cane time to delete the 4300+ useless files (1.28 GB of data) it found, it completely choked. Fifteen minutes and no activity later, I stopped the program and ran it again. Some files were sent to the recycle bin, but it still choked again. Given that a program needed to clean up a disk needs to be able to handle what it finds, I'm rating it only fair. If you don't have a lot of files to throw away, I expect it's a decent enough way of cleaning things up, but I've seen much better free programs that do the same thing.
