Blast germs into oblivion in this arcade-style game.

For plain fun, no kind of game beats the arcade classics. And for sheer cool factor, no kind of sci-fi medicine beats nanotech. In Nanotron, the two come together. At the outset of this arcade-style game, you enlist to defend Patient B-145A from invading germs. The first battleground is the liver, where you blast away oft-mutating (and strangely cute) germs.

Gameplay is a hybrid between arcade classics Breakout and Space Invaders. You move a bat back and forth at the bottom of the screen, lobbing a red ball towards the advancing ranks of villainous germs. When hit, some germs drop helpful items like an extra ball or a nano-pill. Just like in real life, some pills help and some do harm. You can play the game on Easy, Medium, or Hard levels.

Note: This demo covers only the first ten levels (or, if you prefer to look at it in the game's terms, the liver). To unlock Nanotron's next 50 levels--and a plethora of new power-ups, germ types, attack formations, and boss germs--upgrade to the full version.
