Description of WebStripper Free
Those of us with the slothful modem connections have always needed ways to surf with a little more speed. Why not surf your hard drive? WebStripper Free copies Web pages and sites to your computer, so you can view them offline with its built-in browser.
Using tabs, you can switch amongst pages, including a list of files and a list of new files if the site has been updated. The lists can be filtered by file type, and one click on the file name displays the file in the browser. The browser page also has prior-file and next-file buttons, which step though the files on the site one at a time.
WebStripper Free can download anything from a single page to an entire site. You can specify the depth of pages to download and whether to visit other servers. There are options to select whether to download graphics and multimedia files and whether to ignore files above or below a specified size.
WebStripper Free 2.0 contains banner advertising. WebStripper Pro, a version without advertising and with extra features, is also available. Its features include the ability to schedule downloads for a future date and time, and the ability to filter what is downloaded based on server, path, file name, extension, and query string.
