Editorial Review of BitComet
The BitTorrent file-sharing protocol is the best and most efficient way to share files --- and this program does an excellent job of helping you find, download, and manage files using BitTorrent. You'll be able to download multiple files simultaneously, as well as using a queue to start, stop, and reorder the downloads.
There are quite a few nice features here for downloaders, including the ability to chat with others, as well as integration with Internet Explorer. Also useful is a small BitComet icon that sits on your desktop; drag a file or link to it, and you'll start the download.
Note that you'll need to open a port in your firewall in order for BitComet to work, so if you're having connection problems, that's what you need to do. Also, the program changes some TCP/IP settings, so it's a good idea to create a restore point before installing it, so that you can easily revert your settings if anything goes amiss.
