Those who want to share files using the popular BitTorrent file-sharing protocol, and who also want to enjoy the social networking benefits of the Internet, should give Torrent Swapper a try. It's unique among BitTorrent clients in that it integrates getting recommendations from others--and giving recommendations to them--inside simple-to-use file sharing software.
The software makes it simple to find "friends" with whom you can share recommendations, and then easily download what they recommend. The software lets you put these recommendations to good use, so that you can, for example, only download files that have reached a certain rating level.
Note that you don't use this software to actually search for files; for that, go to any BitTorrent search site, or choose File --> Search Torrent from the program's menu to go to a search site. But finding files to download is easy enough with a client; where this program shines is in its ability to connect you with others to share recommendations. Also, keep in mind that you'll need to open a port in your firewall in order for Torrent Swapper.
