Editorial Review of ProcessGuard

This program claims to protect your PC at a deeper level than the usual anti-virus and anti-spyware applications by stopping program from attacking you in a variety of ways. It says it protects you in a variety of ways, including stopping running programs from being modified, cutting off access to RAM, stopping the logging of services, and in similar ways. In addition, it stops any new application from installing, unless you first give the go-ahead. In that way, malware can't be installed on your PC without your knowledge.

ProcessGuard starts off in a kind of learning mode, to see how you use your PC. Even during that time, it says it provides protection, and then increases protection after it learns about your PC use. One thing to keep in mind about ProcessGuard: If you use Windows Vista, you're out of luck, because this program is incompatible with it.
