If every time you boot your PC you're greeted with a folder containing System32, you probably have a corrupt string value in one of your Registry entries. You could follow Microsoft's long-winded advice and fiddle with the Registry if you want to, but a quicker solution is Kelly's System32 Folder Open Upon Boot.
