It handles not just photos but animations as well, and includes a surprising number of capabilities despite its compact size. You can crop, resize, correct colors, draw, add special effects, remove red eye, adjust color and brightness balance, and plenty more as well. It supports layers for more advanced photo editing, although it doesn't have all the capabilities of Photoshop, or a powerful editing program like The Gimp.
But those who don't need those kinds of very powerful features, will find this all they need in a photo editing program.
