Frustrated with online video sites like YouTube that apparently don't let you download videos to your PC? Be frustrated no more. This very clever freebie lets you download videos from any site to your PC so you can later watch them without having to go online.
Using the program is exceedingly simple. Just go to a Web page with videos on it, and the program automatically finds their locations on Web servers, and lists them all. To download one, double-click it, and you'll be able to either watch the video in your default media player, or save it to your hard disk to view later. You can use it to download audio files as well.
If there's one shortcoming to the program, it's that there's no way to know the content of all the video it finds--all you see are file names. So you'll find any videos that are ads, mixed in with the videos you want. Still, that's a minor problem. This program is a great way to download videos from YouTube, CNN, and other sites with plenty of video.
