Editorial Review of ExposurePlot
ExposurePlot is less a utility for the analysis of photographs than it is a tool to examine your own tendencies and behaviors as a photographer. Simply feed the program any directory--large or small--of your digital photos, and it will summarize your preferences for lenses, exposure settings, aperture and shutter speed settings, and ISO.
What you end up with is a series of barcharts that track the EXIF metadata most digital cameras embed in the photo file itself. It can tell you more about your shooting habits than you realize: Perhaps you favor a specific focal length of your lens; or you might have a tendency to use a larger aperture setting than is necessary to capture a shot. The results can be surprising, even to seasoned photographers. For instance, it might help you decide whether you really need to bring that extra lens on your vacation, or if you should invest in a tripod, because you prefer to use a relatively slow shutter speed.
Even if you're not all that interested in studying your own photographic habits, you can't beat the price, and you might learn something about yourself.
