Editor's Review of Enso Map Anywhere
With the Enso Map Anywhere time-saver you can select an address in a Word document, e-mail or any other file that allows for inserting images, type 'map' into the Enso Launcher (installed separately), and add a handy Google Map image to your file.
Enso Map Anywhere is an add-in for the exceptionally useful (and also free) Enso Launcher which makes using Windows faster and more natural overall. Map Anywhere adds a map image in seconds, though it sadly doesn't add a link to the full, navigable Google Map.
You can select and search with any text that Google could map, such as the name of a restaurant or intersection, and Map Anywhere will add the full address (and phone number if it's a business) along with the map image. If you try to add a map to a file that doesn't allow for images, such as Notepad or an online text-only input field, Map Anywhere will add the full address and a note that reads "[Cannot display images here]."
Though useful, Map Anywhere is still in the early beta stages and may have a few bugs. For instance, during one of my tests with Word, it added the image and link to Enso in the clipboard instead of the Word doc.
If you're already using Enso Launcher, Map Anywhere adds some useful functionality. If you're not using the Launcher, try it. You'll like it.
