    Duration of ownership: 0 Months

Strengths: Looks Good and simple to use

Weaknesses: Doesn't work, cant do anything with the original sound from a video. Original sound was out of sync with the video.

    Overall Evaluation: Poor

    Duration of ownership: 2 Days

Strengths: Extremely user friendly, enough extras to look polished and professional, big bang for your bucks (less than $100), can edit music to make compilations of portions of many songs AND videos to remove scenes (or portions of scenes) that do not suit the mood of the presentation

Weaknesses: None that I have noticed after using it, basically, all day long for two days. I don't care for the Yahoo Toolbar, but that is easy to remove. I wish it had more styles, but I would imagine they will be coming.

Overall Evaluation: Very well worth its money, SO very user friendly, great for memorial presentations that, due to the nature of death, you usually have no advance notice and must prepare them quickly but still keep them professional looking. I love it!!! I can't believe I can make a presentation so quickly and so easily that looks like it was done by a company! THANKS, muvee Reveal 8!

    Duration of ownership: 2 Months

Strengths: Very easy to use. Simple to compile to numerous output formats (DVD, CD, FaceBook, etc.).

Weaknesses: Minimal control, especially over timing and individual frames. Ex.: if you are attempting to linger over particular slides for effects or messages, you have to "fool" the program by duplicating that slide several times. The program also has a nasty habit of truncating music if it believes you do not have sufficient slides to accompany it.

Overall Evaluation: I purchased this software for funerals as a quick fix for a quaility presentation during viewings (families, understandably, are always submitting material at the last minute). I have ended up spending more time tweaking this software than if i had I elected to use Dazzle or some other video editing software. However, it is still better than Power Point. Cut the price in half and it is a good deal.

    Strengths: the old version

Weaknesses: very buggy, support is terrible and almost non-existent, they have yet to reply to a 2 month old email

Overall Evaluation: Muvee USED to be a great program, but the new version isn't worth the money

    Duration of ownership: 1 Months

Strengths: Dead simple to use. Professional-looking output. Definite improvement over muvee autoProducer. Able to import HD video. Better quality output compared to autoProducer. Logical interface--they've really done their homework here.

Weaknesses: PSP output rather poor (fuzzy when compared to using VideoStudio to convert to PSP). Program crashes when working with large projects (many photos and videos). Not clear on UI that the "Make muvee" process now means "click the Play button" (there is no longer a button labelled "Make muvee"). Fewer included styles compared to autoProducer. Not able to control volume of soundtrack at specific locations.

Overall Evaluation: At first I was going to balk paying another $100 after I already paid $130 for autoProducer 6. But the half price discount for upgraders lured me in. And I don't regret it one bit: Reveal is a superior product that produces superior results (compared to autoProducer). The UI is much improved. Editing full screen is great; much larger preview area (though full screen preview stumbles). Lots of UI "niceties"--among those: a much improved way to indicate magicSpots. Well worth the money, considering the time it'll save you and the compliments you'll get for your productions!
