Description of Freedom Security and Privacy Suite

By now you're probably aware that cable and Digital Subscriber Line users are especially vulnerable to malicious attacks. Freedom combines tools that protect your identity and personal information with tools that speed your Web surfing. Its Firewall lets you control what information and applications are exposed to the Internet. You can also have it remember personal information and automatically enter it when filling out forms, or you can have it generate random information when you're feeling wary of a site. The Cookie Manager lets you control the cookies you receive and automatically erases your tracks by deleting the ones you don't want. You can control what ads are displayed in your browser, speeding up your browsing. It also instantly scans all outgoing communications for sensitive information and warns you before sending anything that contains it. For example, you can program Freedom to scan for your real name or telephone number, and it will alert you before releasing it.

Note: the latest incarnation of this program is a subscription-based service, instead of a trial download.
