Description of MemTurbo II
These days, it doesn't take much to use up memory. Even if you have 64 MB or 128 MB of memory, a few open windows -- plus using your scanner or other peripheral -- can start causing your OS to act sluggish. MemTurbo lets you avoid this by recovering memory leaks from poorly behaved programs. It also flushes out unused DLLs to your hard drive, creating more room for applications. You can use the program on an "as needed" basis, so whenever you're on the verge of a system crash, just press CTRL-ALT-M to flush your RAM to disk, and free up memory for whatever you're working on. This latest version features a smaller footprint.
Note: This trial version is fully functional, but it does not let you fine-tune your cache.
