A flaw in Internet Explorer affects the Java virtual machine in versions 4x and 5x under Windows 95, 98, NT, and 2000. The Java applet on a booby-trapped site can pass your personal log-in information to a hacker, who then can impersonate you while visiting other sites. This patch will keep the the intruder from using the hole to steal your online identity.
