Description of Registry Drill

The Registry Drill is the most in-depth Registry utility and cleaner available today. It goes through the Registry character by character searching for any possible errors. A blank Key, a pointer to a non existing Key, a non existing file, invalid characters, and more. The Drill has several main components, the Quick Drill which quickly searches the Registry for 15 different possible types of errors that other Registry cleaners do not. The Deep Drill goes through the entire Registry slowly and carefully. looking for more than 50 different kinds of errors. It has a search and Relace, Find All Pointers to a file and can load an additional Registry File into the Registry. The Registry Drill's help file, walks you through any repairs you may need to make and carefully explains which errors may be valid. It explains why a Key is invalid and what information is missing or wrong.

  Duration of ownership: 2 Months

  Strengths: Finds a lot of issues

  Weaknesses: Does not repair all issues despite claiming to. You only find this out after paying for the full (non-trial version)

  Overall Evaluation: The software itself is with the rest of the utilities, no better nor worse than, say, Resistry Mechanic. However, like most trial tools, it does not fix all the issues that it finds. To have these fixed, it tells you to purchase the full product. After purchasing the full product, it then failed to fix the issues despite additional interaction with the author by email. After getting nowhere, I asked for my money back, it was refused . Therefore I cannot recommend this simply for the unprofessional way I was treated when legitimately asking for a refund.
