    Duration of ownership: 3 Days

    Strengths: Its good and fast

Weaknesses: the database is open to hackers

Overall Evaluation: I'd prefer TheSearchMan. About TheSearchMan: The interface is simple. Just give the Directory and File Name and you're done. Searching is fast too. Searched my 41 GB mp3 folder in just a little less 3 second!! Indexed my whole 500 GB drive in less than 3 mins. PROS:Its simple, effective, fast and small. CONS:It doesn't searches your folder in Normal mode although does that in Indexed mode. It has got an up point against well known everything as the database of TheSearchMan is encrypted.

    Overall Evaluation: Useless to me

Strengths: FAST!!! I usually just search for file names (partial or whole) using wild cards. FANTASTIC for that! And did I say FAST!! Amazing.

Weaknesses: None (Unless you want to search file content, which it doesn't do.)

Overall Evaluation: Wow!!! What I've been looking for. Windows7 search function was always bizarre, cumbersome, and hard for me to use. This thing is GREAT!

Strengths: Lightning fast! All these years, and Microsoft couldn't come up with something so simple and practical? Hmm...

Weaknesses: None that I found, yet.

Overall Evaluation: Time is money, so thanks for the gift!

    Duration of ownership: 6 Months

    Strengths: super fast

    Weaknesses: misses a lot

Overall Evaluation: When it works, it's lightning fast. But a lot of times it won't find obvious matches. Hit or miss. Too many times I've had to search with something else when this failed. Pass on it until it's improved.
