Editorial Review of IconPackager
Icons can be eye candy with IconPackager. This program lets you change common desktop icons, such as those for My Computer, Recycle Bin, Folders, as well as for individual file types. IconPackager groups sets of icons into packages with different themes and looks. Browse through them, and choose the package you want.It comes with five packages, although you can download many more (ninety eight at the last count) from the WinCustomize Web site. The packages are well-done and distinctive. You'll also be able to change individual icons to any that ship with IconPackager.
Is this program worth its registration fee? If you're a fan of eye candy, certainly. If not, you won't get the point. Keep in mind that until you register, there are some features you can't try out, such as changing the colors of icon packages.
