Description of CSMenu

CSMenu is a small freeware application designed to replace the default start menu that comes with Windows 7. The classic start menu, still the favorite of many computer users, is completely lacking from Windows 7. Without downloading third party software such as this, there is no way to return it as there was in Windows Vista. Many people prefer the classic start menu for a number of reasons. It is generally easier to find programs, especially those which you do not use so often. You can download CSMenu immediately and without having to pay anything. It is easy to install, and if you decide that you want to return to the default Windows 7 start menu, you can simply uninstall it in a matter of a few clicks. There are also a number of additional features, however, that make CSMenu even more useful for those who want to customize their computer's interface to make it more user-friendly. With full localization support, CSMenu can also sort your start menu entries alphabetically and it gives you the power to customize various other aspects. CSMenu may also be run without the installer and can be configured to run automatically at system start-up.

  Duration of ownership: 1 Days

  Strengths: Does what it says.

  Weaknesses: I have gotten used to the new menu, and I also prefer it.

  Overall Evaluation: Same problem as JSEL262. Uninstalled it, and it was still there. Rebooted, and the Win 7 menu returned, BUT all my Gadgets disappeared! Fortunately I created a restore point before I tried it. Sys Restore cured it.

  Strengths: NONE TO ME

  Weaknesses: i prefer the new start file

  Overall Evaluation: i just wanted to try it. Now i would like to remove it, but deleting the program did not bring back the windows 7 start menu. How do i accomplish this?
