Description of ASFRecorder
ASFRecorderallows you to grab a streamed file to watch at a more convenient time. First find the address of the streaming file that you'd like to capture, and then download and store the Windows Media file (.asx, .wmx., or .wmvt) onto your hard drive or removable media. (Many music videos, movie trailers, live broadcasts, and songs use the Windows Media format.) You can then view files offline and copy them as often as you wish. Contents are in a format that you can distribute using programs such as Napster, Gnutella, FTP, and IRC.
Note: This program is freeware, and the program's author wishes to remain anonymous. The author has stated that this version (1.1) is the last version he will release.
